2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto Spotted During TVC Shoot; Launch Soon
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has been launching vehicles nonstop since the second-generation Celerio made its debut in the final months of last year. This was followed by new CNG versions of its models, a lightly updated WagonR, a facelifted Baleno, an updated Ertiga and XL6, and most recently the new generation Brezza. The model doesn't appear to be slowing down soon.
The Grand Vitara midsize hybrid SUV will be delivered to the country's top automaker on July 20, 2022, and it will likely be unveiled the following month. A new generation Alto entry-level hatchback also seems to be arriving later this calendar year. The new Alto's spy photographs have been discovered several times in the past.
It should be noted that the Alto nameplate is long overdue for a significant upgrade and that consumer preference for small and midsize SUVs has resulted in a decline in its popularity. In addition to trying to improve its domestic lineup of sports utility vehicles, the company may potentially update its entry-level models based on volume.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto has now been spotted unmasked during a commercial shoot, and since it will presumably follow the Grand Vitara, its release may be sooner rather than later. According to rumors, the new hatch would ride on the same lightweight Heartect platform as other entry-level vehicles including the Celerio, WagonR, and S-Presso.
Comparing it to the current model, it may be larger in size, and the cabin space might expand as well. The exterior has new wheels, a redesigned headlight, updated front and back bumpers, new fog lamp housings and air consumption, updated rear lights, etc. We may expect it to provide fresh color schemes and make available a variety of equipment.
The inside may also have been updated with a variety of new feature improvements, such as a semi-digital instrument cluster, redesigned seats, steering with mounted controls, a seven-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, etc. While the current 796 cc gasoline engine may remain, a 1.0-liter gasoline engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission (AMT) may be an option.
