Kia Seltos facelift spied in India; launch likely at Auto Expo 2023
Test mules of the updated Kia Seltos have finally been spotted in India after multiple sightings abroad. The Seltos facelift is anticipated to make its worldwide premiere by August of this year, followed by an anticipated India launch at the Auto Expo in 2023. Kia's SUV first went on sale in this country in June of 2019.
Kia Seltos facelift: multiple cosmetic tweaks expected
The revised Seltos will receive aesthetic changes to the front and back, although the profile appears to be essentially untouched, according to these spy photographs. There have been rumors that the Seltos will have a front fascia identical to the Carens marketed here and the newest Niro EV that was just introduced elsewhere.
As a result, the Seltos facelift will have updated front and back bumpers, headlights, taillights, and Kia's iconic grille in order to match the style of more recent Kia vehicles.
The Seltos as it currently exists is well furnished and has a comprehensive list of amenities and other features. We anticipate Kia will refresh the dashboard with aesthetic changes, rebuild the upholstery, and include new infotainment capabilities like a 360-degree camera. The ADAS capabilities that will be included with the Seltos will also be required to be adjusted for use in India.
We anticipate that the Seltos facelift will keep its current powertrain lineup, which consists of a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine, a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Mild hybrid technology may be included in models built outside of India at a later date.
Kia Seltos facelift: expected release date
According to our sources, the new Seltos will make their world premiere in Korea sometime in late July or early August of this year. Kia has made a large list of changes to the Seltos for India, including suspension improvements and additional feature enhancements. We anticipate Kia will reveal the updated Seltos only before the end of this year, with a premiere at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2023 in January.
