At the time of its introduction next month, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be offered with 1.5-liter mild hybrid and 1.5-liter strong hybrid petrol engines.
The Grand Vitara, a long-awaited midsize SUV, has finally been introduced by Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL). The biggest automaker in the nation has been conspicuously absent from this hugely popular market for a while, but it has finally returned with its flagship model. The most technologically advanced Maruti Suzuki vehicle to date is without a doubt the five-seater.
When it debuts on the market next month, the Grand Vitara will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Nissan Kicks, VW Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. The midsize SUV is powered by the well-known 1.5-liter four-cylinder K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine, which produces a maximum power output of 103 PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 136.8 Nm at 4,400 rpm. It is connected to either a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with paddle shifting or a five-speed manual transmission.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine and specification
The engine also serves as the propulsion system for the newly released new-generation Brezza as well as the revised Ertiga and XL6. A 1.5-liter four-cylinder Toyota hybrid petrol engine will also be offered for the Grand Vitara. A 1.5-liter TNGA Atkinson Cycle engine, with a 14:1 compression ratio, is used in the first full-hybrid Maruti Suzuki SUV. It produces 93 PS and 122 Nm of torque.
Its powertrain is paired with an electric motor that produces 79 PS and 141 Nm and is coupled to an e-drive gearbox, giving it a 40% thermal efficiency. It just has an automatic CVT transmission that drives the front wheels, but the mild hybrid version will also include an AWD system.
A 177.6-volt Li-ion battery pack powers the hybrid system, and the electric-only range is estimated to be about 25 kilometers. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is reportedly the most fuel-efficient SUV in India with a stated total economy of 27.97 km/l. Additionally, it is stated that the powerful hybrid model can go 1,200 km on a single tank of gasoline. It will be sold internationally, just like the Hyryder, and Maruti Suzuki claims it is built on the TECT platform with a variety of active and passive safety measures.
An all-digital instrument panel, cruise control, rear AC vents, USB charging outlets, driving mode, and a nine-inch touchscreen SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are included in the list of features. AWD grade has a driving mode switch, front and rear sliding armrests, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel with mounted controls, and soft-touch leather door pads and dashboard trim finished in chrome.
AWD, a large panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera system, automatic climate control, the voice assistants Hey Siri and Ok Google, ventilated front seats, six airbags, vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all four wheels, Hill Descent Control, three-point rear seatbelts, a tire pressure monitoring system, an engine start/stop button, leatherette seats, etc. are additional highlights. The back seat is divided 60:40 and reclining as well.
