With four new releases scheduled, August 2022 is looking to be a busy month for the automotive sector. Additionally, Mahindra will reveal its Born Electric ideas on August 15, 2022. Five concepts are now under development, and most of them will eventually give rise to all-electric SUVs in production. The company hopes to release up to eight EVs by the year 2027.

1. Hyundai

Hyundai Tucson: The latest model will roll off the assembly line first. The newly introduced luxury SUV has undergone a number of changes both externally and within. The new Tucson has a front grille with a parametric jewel pattern that adheres to the most recent Sensuous Sportiness design concept.

2. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder:

On August 16, Toyota is getting ready to reveal the cost of the eagerly anticipated Urban Cruiser Hyryder midsize SUV, which will be offered with both mild- and strong-hybrid petrol engines. The latter enables a special EV-only mode, and the mild-hybrid model also offers a 4WD system.

It would be stuffed to the gills with features and is anticipated to cost between Rs. 9.5 lakh and Rs. 19 lakh (ex-showroom). The five-seater is now accepting bookings and will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, etc.

3. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Alto:

On August 18, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the new-generation Alto, which is based on the lightweight Heartect platform, at the opposite end of the inexpensive volume vehicle spectrum. In comparison to the current model, it will be larger in size and have a roomier interior thanks to a new 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine.

4. Mercedes-Benz AMG EQS 53 4Matic+:

The AMG EQS 53 4Matic+ will be unveiled by Mercedes-Benz India on August 24 and, upon its release, will replace the brand's current premier electrified sedan. With a 107 kWh battery pack and a pair of electric motors, it will be able to produce up to 650 PS and 950 Nm of peak torque. It may be valued at more than Rs. 2 crore (ex-showroom).
