2023 Before coming on sale in countries like India next year, the Hyundai Verna is probably going to have its international debut this year.
A recent online source claims that Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) does not have any imminent intentions to introduce the new Elantra to the Indian market. Because its SUV brother, the new Tucson, was just introduced a few weeks ago, rumors around its local arrival have recently been more intense.
However, it looks that the nation's second-largest automaker is concentrating on introducing a whole new Verna first. It has been given priority for obvious reasons since it is a premium product in the midsize market and has the potential to generate high volume sales. According to reports, the 2023 Hyundai Verna will be much bigger and have a roomy interior.
As a result, it could be appealing to a larger range of buyers in the market for midsize and executive sedans. In South Korea and a few months ago in India, test mules for the forthcoming Verna were caught on video. It will not only be greater in size but also have more sophisticated features and technologies, a higher power output, etc.
The article also stated that the next-generation Elantra wouldn't be necessary if there was a bigger car that catered to two separate market segments. The next-generation Verna, internally known as BN7, will borrow substantially from the worldwide Elantra since it will adhere to the Sensuous Sportiness design concept and have a fastback roofline and large grille area.
While the bumpers, side profile, headlights, air intake, etc. will all be completely different from the current model, the rear will get new LED tail lamps. With the addition of modern equipment and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)-based assistive and safety features, the inside will also probably be completely redesigned.
The 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline and 1.5-liter four-pot diesel engines will remain under the hood, but a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 140 PS may be added to the lineup to compete with more potent rivals like the Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus, which are powered by 1.5-liter gasoline engines that produce 150 PS and 250 Nm.
